Dundee University Engineering students attended the Xm Training Centre for a period of 10 weeks to make a G-clamp. The students needed to carry out the work using a variation of skills to allow them to complete the job succesfully. The jobs included Bench fitting, machining and fabricating which allowed the students to gain valuble skills for their developement within engineering. The students were helped along the way by 3rd year apprentices from the Michelin Tyre factory and they used the skills they have gained during their apprenticeship to help the students.
